18 Jun MEGRAME TIMBER WINDOW AND DOOR FACTORY UPDATES
Megrame timber factory invested over 0,5 million EUR on the new machinery and tools in 2015 only thus future proofing our growth.
Our investment added a new SCM CNC 5 axis profiling centre, new Weinig four-sided planer, Colombo profiling machinery, new OERTLI tools, updates in the window assembly and transportation line, glazing as well as quality control and packaging. The new machinery runs to the finest tolerances, consistently ensuring the highest quality and precision on all of our frames.
In addition to our unbeatable precision and quality of finish, the Megrame timber factory plans to implement LEAN discipline, allowing us to produce more per square meter or per employee than most, if not all other window fabricators in the Baltics. This will allows us to offer even more competitive prices, in addition to the best levels of quality and service.
Megrame International manufacture and supply casement windows, tilt & turn windows, entrance and French doors, lift and slide doors, bifold doors and conservatories around Europe as well as other continents.
New machinery and tools
New four-sided planer machinery
The new German Weinig four-sided planer processes the beam surface much better than before. The surface quality like this was reached only after sanding. This reduced one step in the production process what allows to speed up the production process and to maintain the quality.
We are using new Swiss tools for profiling of our Euro windows that ensure flawless quality and have a very high accuracy.
New profiling machinery
Italian Angelo Colombo profiling machinery was installed in 2015, which significantly accelerated the production process.
New 5 axis SCM CNC machinery. Advantages:
– Easy profiling on large section parts with the 5-axis machining head, designed specifically for demanding uses.
– Extremely fast setup of the worktable whether in the automatic version, or the guided and manual version.
– Greater productivity by performing all the accessorial machining on the door and window frames with the “BRC” patented multi-function unit (Boring Routing Cutting).

New product transportation line, New product cleaning and quality checking line, New packaging line
Updates in glazing department
To move large glass units we started to use 400 kg load capacity vacuum chuck with lightweight construction crane. Glazing department working area increased to nearly 100 m2 which ensures greater capacity and faster and more secure work
