Megrame aluclad Lift & Slide door is ideal solution for customers looking for a homely, warm look and feel inside, with the benefits of a hard wearing and maintenance free exterior. Aluclad patio doors offering all the benefits of a timber system without the need to maintan timber finish on the exterior.

 

Megrame non-compromising Lift & Slide low threshold door system is for achieving the maximum amount of light ingress. With the unique fittings system by GRETSCH-UNITAS, we are able to produce lift and slide doors with a width of up to 8 meters and a maximum height of 2.8 meters with maximum number of 4 leafs. Delightfully easy ope¬ra¬tion even of large and heavy sashes thanks to the perfect inter¬play of func¬tional compon¬ents such as bogies, drive gear and turn handle.

 

  • Sash profile width 78 mm or 94 mm (timber – FSC® Chain of Custody certified pine, oak, meranti, mahogany, larch, other species);
  • Double or triple glazed and /or filled with panels, internally beaded for enhanced security;
  • Sound insulation from 32 dB (depends on the glass unit or insulated panel);
  • Maximum opening – one sash – 3,1 m, two sashes – 5,99 m. Max sash weight 300 kg;
  • Espagnolette Lock is fitted to the door leaf which engages into keeps in the frame. Operated by the handle this secure method of locking is mandatory for highest security levels;
  • GU-thermostep warm low threshold.

Opening options
Species of wood

Only engineered timber is used to manufacture Megrame windows and doors. This provides superior strength, stability and a knot-free finish – qualities for which our products are renowned.

Standard species of wood:

  • pine (finger-joint or clear faced)
  • oak
  • larch
  • meranti

Other species of traditional (eucalyptus, mahogany) or exotic (hemlock, oregon, white saraya) timber available upon request.

The timber used to manufacture our products is carefully selected and treated, and with correct installation and proper maintenance MEGRAME windows will last and give satisfaction for several decades

Finishing

MEGRAME offers fully factory finished high quality timber windows and doors that have the convenience and durability provided by modern finishing technology with the excellence produced by highly skilled craftsmen.

The quality finish of MEGRAME timber windows is obtained using highest quality ecological spray applied, water based, micro-porous finishing system. The finishing coat is elastic and moves together with the wood as well as lets the wood breathe.

A wide variety of RAL and stain colours are available to meet our customers’ requirements. All of our paints and lacquers are environmentally friendly, ecologically clean and harmless to the environment.

Available combinations of window colour:

  • lacquer both sides;
  • lacquer one side and RAL colour other side;
  • RAL colour both sides;
  • different RAL colour on each side.
Glazing

Today’s glazing solutions offer incredible potential to create environments that are comfortable, cost-effective and sustainable.

At MEGRAME we offer a range of double and triple glazing with different performance characteristics – energy saving, solar control, noise reduction, safety, fire resistance.

Available glass unit spacers: aluminium, thermospacers Swisspacer and TGI (colours white or grey as standard).

Glazing bars

Window glazing bead profile will match the glazing bar. Glazing bars available with or without internal spacer. Glazing bars are also available for aluminium clad timber windows.
