Megrame traditional timber front doors offer a warm welcome and are available in a wide range of styles and finishes with numerous glazing and panel options. Traditional doors can be designed to match new or existing details.

 

Fully equipped with integrated high security locking our Entrance Doors also come with a variety of door hardware options, including spy holes, letter-plates, knockers and knobs.

 

Manufactured from engineered, multi-layered timber and fully factory finished entrance doors offer security, insulation, a long life and style to your home.

 

  • Sash profile width 60 mm or 78 mm (timber – FSC® Chain of Custody certified pine, oak, meranti, mahogany, larch, other species);
  • Double or triple glazed and /or filled with panels, internally beaded for enhanced security;
  • Factory Hung on Nico 3D adjustable hinges with espagnolette locking, latch and mortice deadlock;
  • Low threshold.

The values are tested for 60mm sash 1185 x 1987 single opening doors with 46mm insulated panel.

Species of wood

Only engineered timber is used to manufacture Megrame windows and doors. This provides superior strength, stability and a knot-free finish – qualities for which our products are renowned.

Standard species of wood:

  • pine (finger-joint or clear faced)
  • oak
  • larch
  • meranti

Other species of traditional (eucalyptus, mahogany) or exotic (hemlock, oregon, white saraya) timber available upon request.

The timber used to manufacture our products is carefully selected and treated, and with correct installation and proper maintenance MEGRAME windows will last and give satisfaction for several decades

Finishing

MEGRAME offers fully factory finished high quality timber windows and doors that have the convenience and durability provided by modern finishing technology with the excellence produced by highly skilled craftsmen.

The quality finish of MEGRAME timber windows is obtained using highest quality ecological spray applied, water based, micro-porous finishing system. The finishing coat is elastic and moves together with the wood as well as lets the wood breathe.

A wide variety of RAL and stain colours are available to meet our customers’ requirements. All of our paints and lacquers are environmentally friendly, ecologically clean and harmless to the environment.

Available combinations of window colour:

  • lacquer both sides;
  • lacquer one side and RAL colour other side;
  • RAL colour both sides;
  • different RAL colour on each side.
Glazing

Today’s glazing solutions offer incredible potential to create environments that are comfortable, cost-effective and sustainable.

At MEGRAME we offer a range of double and triple glazing with different performance characteristics – energy saving, solar control, noise reduction, safety, fire resistance.

Available glass unit spacers: aluminium, thermospacers Swisspacer and TGI (colours white or grey as standard).

Ironmongery

Made-to-order timber entrance doors incorporating a turn-key espagnolette which has been tested for Secured-by-Design schemes. Including two anti-push back claw hooks, deadbolt and latch. The Heritage Locking System incorporates a euro profile locking cylinder which is at a similar height to a traditional round cylinder pull and the lock is operated automatically as soon as the door is closed. This means that the entrance door maintains a traditional appearance while introducing security enhancing features.

Glued on glass timber glazing bars available in 22 mm or 18mm width, height – 19 mm. Types – Ovolo, Cove, Lambs Tongue, Putty line:

 

Glazing bar types

Glazing bars available with or without internal spacer. Glazing bars are also available for aluminium clad timber windows. Window glazing bead profile and internal frame moulds will match the internal glazing bar. External glazing bars is Putty line as standard:
